Free Windows Password Reset – Easy as 1, 2, 3

By | November 12, 2016

PCWin Recovery makes it easy to reset your Windows password with x64 Password Reset- the free Windows password reset utility.  It works with Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, and older versions of Windows too.

All it takes is three easy steps to get you started.

  1. Download the x64 Password Reset (the free Windows Password Reset utility).
  2. Request your free registration key (the registration key is required to reset Windows passwords).
  3. Validate your email address and retrieve your registration key.

That’s it.  Once you complete these 3 easy steps- you’ll be ready to reset any Windows password.

Here’s some additional information to get you started.  The x64 Password Reset download is pretty big- it’s 290 MB.  Back when the Internet was new that was massive. Today not so much.  If you have a relatively fast Internet connection- then it will only take you a couple of minutes to download the file.  My cable/Internet provider is Comcast/XFinity connection and took me around 2 minutes to download.

After your download is complete- you’ll have a Password ResetX64.zip file sitting on your hard drive.  After you extract the zip file you’ll have a PasswordResetX64.exe file.  When you open the exe file- it just copies some files (to same folder location of the original exe) and creates a shortcut.  So that you can create a bootable x64Password Reset CD/DVD or flash drive.

Everyone gets a unique registration key.  Don’t you feel special?  The registration key is required when you reset a user’s password.  So your next step is to request your registration key.  Once you request your registration key- check your email inbox.  If you don’t see the registration email in your inbox in a few minutes, of your request, check your email junk folder.

The validation email includes a snipit of data that you paste into the validation webpage along with your email.  Once you click the submit button on the validation webpage- your registration key displays.  You can record your registration key, and use over and over again to reset your Windows password as many times as you like.  If you misplace or lose your registration key- you can use the New Key Request web page to retrieve your registration key again.

So, that’s it for now.  I hope you enjoy using PCWin Recovery X64 Windows Password Reset to reset your Windows password and get back into Windows.
